FIL Node Management
Function Introduction
To make it easier for FIL node owners to manage nodes without relying on Lotus commands, we have launched the FIL node management feature of the MPC Workspace.
You only need to add the FIL address of the MPC Workspace to the Owner of the node or the Owner of the multisig node, and you can easily manage the node with interface operations. This provides a more convenient, low-threshold, and safer node management experience.
Operation Procedure
Configure FIL Node Management Function
If you are using the FIL node management function for the first time, you can configure it according to the following steps:
Use the Function
The Filecoin mining pool management tool of the Custody MPC Workspace can be quickly accessed and used through the Filecoin mining pool management icon on the workspace interface.
If your workspace has activated the FIL coin, you can also click the Filecoin mining pool management tool button through the left swipe shortcut operation to enter the relevant function.
View Nodes
If your address is the owner of a FIL node, or if the owner’s address of the node is a multisig address and you are one of the signatories, then the node is the node you manage.
If you are not the owner of the node or a member of the multisig address, then the node is considered your observed node.
Managed Nodes | Observed Nodes | |

Handle node transactions | √ | × |
Add Nodes
On the node list page, click “Add”, and enter the node’s address on the new page to add the node;
The system will distinguish the nodes you manage and observe based on your FIL address and the owner information of the input node.
Manage Nodes
Currently, the MPC Workspace supports the following three node operations: Balance Withdrawal, Change Owner, and Change Worker.
Balance Withdrawal
You can directly withdraw the available balance of your FIL node using the MPC Workspace. The withdrawn funds will be transferred into the beneficiary or owner address of the node.
Select balance withdrawal in the node page. Enter the withdrawal amount and sign. Once the transaction is successfully on-chain, the withdrawal can be completed.
Change Owner
In the node that needs to change the Owner, click “Change Owner”.
Enter the new Owner address you expect to change to, complete the signature on-chain, wait for the new Owner to confirm receipt, and the node Owner change can be successfully completed.
Notes
Changing the owner is to transfer your node to a new owner. Your current address will lose control of this node. Please make sure it is your real operation;
After the owner change is successful, if you are no longer the new owner, this node will change from a managed node to an observed node.
Change Worker
In the node management interface, click “Change Worker”.
Enter the new Worker address you want to change, complete the signature and wait for the transaction to be on-chain.
On the FIL network, changing the Worker requires waiting for about 900 block heights after initiating the change transaction, and then initiating the transaction to confirm the Worker change again.
Node To-Do List
The MPC Workspace will present the related transaction operations of your managed nodes as to-do items waiting for your processing.
You can view all the initiation information and node information related to the transaction through the to-do details in 【Workflow】.
Receive Invitation to Become or Change Owner
You will receive a to-do item to confirm the worker change about 900 heights after initiating the worker change transaction.
You can perform the corresponding operation at this time. After signing and going on-chain, the node Worker change is successful.
Multisig To-Do
If you are a signer of the multisig wallet and manage the owner identity of the node, you will receive the to-do items related to this node.
Mainnet multisig members can initiate proposals and perform proposal signature operations in the MPC Workspace, without complex distinction between initiating proposals and proposal signatures. MPC signatures will mark initiating proposals and proposal signatures.
If all multisig members use the MPC Workspace, there will be no situation where multiple proposals are initiated for the same transaction due to the use of other tools.
When other multisig members initiate multiple proposals for the same transaction using different tools, the MPC Workspace will filter the proposals to ensure that only one proposal is retained, avoiding situations such as repeated proposals or repeated signatures that cause the transaction to succeed but the operation fails.
